INTEGRTR is building the next generation of enterprise integration and HR tech products with speed, clarity, and a builder-first mindset. We are looking for a Staff Engineer (Backend) who can think independently, operate in ambiguity, influence architecture across teams, and write production-grade code with confidence.

This is a senior technical leadership role. You will act as the technical backbone for backend engineering, guide system design, review critical PRs, and help raise the bar for everyone around you. You will be hands-on and spend significant time building and experimenting, especially with AI tools that improve developer velocity.

What You Will Do

  • Build scalable backend systems and APIs using Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS
  • Spend at least 50 percent of your time writing high-quality, production-grade code
  • Make strong architectural decisions with practical trade-offs
  • Lead technical direction and set engineering standards without being a traditional manager
  • Review complex PRs and help engineers sharpen their craft
  • Design and refine data ingestion pipelines and large data handling flows
  • Use automation and AI tools to speed up delivery and reduce repetitive work
  • Debug tough production issues and improve reliability across services
  • Document key systems, flows, and decisions for clarity and onboarding
  • Collaborate closely with founders to turn product goals into working architecture

Who You Are

  • You have at least 7 years of backend engineering experience with deep Node.js skills
  • You can think on your feet and simplify ambiguity into concrete next steps
  • You have strong experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • You have built or influenced architecture for distributed systems
  • You enjoy mentoring and guiding smart people through technical excellence
  • You are a hands-on builder who wants to remain close to the code
  • You communicate clearly and raise the quality of discussions around you
  • You use or experiment with AI tools that improve engineering output
  • You take ownership of problems and drive them until they are fully solved

Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with enterprise ecosystems like SAP or SuccessFactors
  • Experience in early-stage or fast-scaling startup environments
  • Ability to work across multiple layers of the stack
  • Prior exposure to system integrations or data-heavy applications
